1.
Nihilist seeing red Go ahead, push me again Seven dead, there's seven left That's seven more I won't regret I will not re-amend Hell-bent on your heaven-sent With your back against the edge I'll stomp out your dying breath Swimming through this sea of bones To reap the very seeds you sow Tell me how to hold this light When it's burning me deep down inside Wander after strangers Bury them alive So this is the end of times? You won't make it out tonight Catalyst starting war You resist, but yeah, what for? When the last of you fall I'll be watching as you crawl There's nothing left to be found I'll grind your bones into the ground I will not stop, I will not bend I'll fight you 'til the bitter end
2.
Will I be another face on the wall? I gave you these moments for nothing at all I'm alright, watching the fire rise And all the expressions we nailed to the door Well, it never mattered, now we don't belong anymore I'm alright, here by the fireside And I'm sorry, but I need To find someplace better for me And I liked it when you had Somewhere better to be When I see, and it won't seem That I'll ever be on my own And this ringing in my ears Is calling me home Let's walk through the fire and into the night Memories go up in flames like moths to a light But it's okay, I'll see you in ten years someday Recover the ashes and pick up the dirt And I'll wait forever until they start to burn But it's okay, I'll see you in ten years, maybe

about

This single is the first bit of publicly-released music I can remember recording. The title track was written as a "theme song" for my best friend's radio show back then, and the second song expressed my personal feelings towards leaving high school. Obviously, the quality is horrendous, and I hadn't discovered pop filters at the time, but the guitar solo in "Fire And Ashes" is still one of my favorites that I've ever done. Enjoy this little piece of lo-fi history.
